“I studied the Lorenz Curve for an economics exam. In short, it represents the distribution — typically of wealth or income — within a population. The diagonal line cutting through it is the line of perfect equality, representing the scenario where every individual holds exactly the same share of income or wealth. The Lorenz Curve lies below this diagonal and shows how unequal the distribution is: the farther it is from the diagonal, the greater the inequality.”
